About us
The word "Tinkuy" in Quechua means "encounter" a meeting between people, cultures, and stories. Tinkuna is inspired by this idea.
Tinkuna was built on a simple belief: South America has some of the finest food products in the world, and Switzerland deserves access to them.
Andres Temprana grew up in Peru, a country known for one of the richest culinary cultures in the world. Food is taken seriously there. The flavors are bold, the ingredients are unique and the pride in the kitchen runs deep. When Andres moved to Switzerland, he noticed that this side of Peru was simply not represented. The products he grew up with were nowhere to be found.
David Rosales, Mauricio Lopez and Jhonatan Rosales had spent years building Swiss Latina Group with one clear goal: bringing authentic South American products to Switzerland. David and Jhonatan from Peru, Mauricio from Colombia. When their path crossed with Andres, the direction was obvious. They shared the same vision and decided to build it together.
To make sure the products were right, the team brought in Mauro Ruiz. Born and raised in Peru, Mauro had been working at one of the most respected Peruvian restaurants in Zurich. He knows the ingredients, the tradition behind them and what it means to get them right.
At Tinkuna, quality is not negotiable. Every product we bring to Switzerland is carefully selected, authentic and chosen because it genuinely deserves to be here. Nothing more, nothing less.
